Stelios Americanos & Co LLC, a law firm based in Nicosia, seeks to recruit a highly motivated individual for the following position:
1. EXPERIENCED LITIGATION LAWYER
The successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
(a) University Degree and Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
(b) Minimum 5 years of legal post qualification experience in litigation.
(c) Excellent command of Greek and English language, both written and spoken and computer literate.
(d) High sense of professionalism, able to work on his/her own initiative and coordinate with other professionals.
The responsibilities:
(a) Work in the litigation department.
(b) Draft and review pleadings and court documents.
(c) Draft and review agreements and generally legal documents.
(d) Appearances in courts and other tribunals in litigation, arbitration and administrative matters and conducting the relevant hearings.
(e) Provide opinions and advice to clients.
(f) Negotiating.
(g) Legal research.
2. JUNIOR LAWYER – CORPORATE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
The successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
(a) University Degree and newly qualified Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
(b) Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language, both written and spoken and computer literate.
(c) Minimum 2 years of legal post qualification experience
(d) Ability to liaise and communicate with clients directly.
The responsibilities:
(a) Work with the Corporate Management Department
(b) Draft and review legal contracts including loans, pledges, security documents, share purchase and escrow agents, assist in closing of transactions.
(b) Experience, amongst others, in maintaining Company statutory
books, preparing minutes of meetings, issuing POAs, reviewing agreements, executing share transfers, increase of share capital, proceeding with amendment of Articles etc and preparing Registrar of Companies forms and returns, incorporating companies in Cyprus and other offshore jurisdictions, opening bank accounts etc.
