LEGAL SECRETARY

Soteris Argyrou Lawyers L.C Paphos is currently seeking to fill a position for a ‘Legal Secretary’.

 

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To enhance the Lawyer’s effectiveness by providing information management and support thus ensuring positive representation of the Firm and its Lawyer’s to our Clients and other external agencies.

 

THE ROLES MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE TO:

·        Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, searching for and transmitting text, data, and graphics.

·        Organise correspondence by reading, acting on and/or routeing to the relevant individuals.

·        Collate information and initiating telecommunications.

·        Maintain the department’s schedules by updating calendars for all personnel, arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.

·        Complete requests and answer or refer enquiries as requested by Clients and/or Employees.

·        Greet customers in person or via the telephone in a professional and pleasant manner.

·        Maintain client privacy and protect the firm's operations by keeping information confidential.

·        Prepare reports by collecting and collating information.

·        Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

The Ideal Candidate Must Have The Ability To:

·        Create and edit written documentation

·        Manage office supplies

·        Deliver an excellent telephone manner

·        Proof-read

·        Build client relationships

·        Schedule

·        Show proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Essential: English, fluent in both verbal and written

Desirable: Greek, both verbal and written

QUALIFIED LAWYER

 

Soteris Argyrou Lawyers L.C Paphos are currently seeking to fill a position of a ‘Qualified Lawyer.

 

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

To provide clients with an overall professional service, by developing and monitoring their cases and by providing administrative and secretarial support, under the supervision of the firm’s partner. Marketing of the firm and assisting in business growth by introducing new clients and/or increasing the cycle of our existing clients is essential.

 

THE ROLES MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE TO:

·        Prepare and draft Legal documentation and/or pleadings, either for Court cases, paralegal departments and/or any other authorities.

·        Appear in the District and Supreme Court for client representation.

·        Developcase knowledge by establishing and organising files, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines, documenting all actions, inputting information into the file database and case management software.

·        Support case preparation, monitoring and obtaining discovery responses, organising material for team case reviews.

·        Enhance trial proceedings by organising evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, ensuring witnesses are available when required, documenting courtroom notes.

·        Assist in cases development by maintaining contact with people involved in the case, scheduling depositions, preparing and forwarding summons and subpoenas, drafting pleadings, preparing and filing discovery requests, preparing responses to opposing counsel and generating status reports.

·        Ensureclients are informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progression.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

The ideal candidate must have:

·        The relevant Qualifications - a University Law Degree recognisable in Cyprus

·        Membership of the Cyprus Bar Association

·        The ability to develop and maintain Client relationships

·        Organisational and planning skills

·        An affinity for attention to detail

·        Admirable verbal communication skills

·        A desire for job/case knowledge

·        Integrity

 

 

The ideal candidate must be:

  • Excellentin litigation, reporting and research
  • Able to research and analyse information correctly
  • Accomplishedin word processing, Legal administration and administrative writing
  • Flexible where required
  • Dependable
  • Able to ensure client confidentiality

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Essential: Fluent in Greek and English, both verbal and written
