George Z. Georgiou & Associates is a full-service Cypriot law firm consisting of 50 experienced lawyers, arbitrators, legal consultants and support staff.
The Firm is expanding its existing Data Protection Team and is seeking for an energetic individual who is committed to providing excellent service and professional advice to clients:
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Working with clients’ management teams to set up their privacy program
- Identifying and documenting gaps to achieve compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and providing actionable recommendations.
- Supporting data protection officers
- Preparing Privacy Policies and Information notices
- Reviewing and preparing data sharing and data processing agreements
- Advising clients on all data protection matters and privacy matters
- Liaising with Data Protection Authorities and handling complaints
- Conducting awareness and training sessions
Qualifications:
- Degree in Law (LLB)
- Previous experience in privacy and data protection will be considered an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to abide by strict deadlines
- Excellent computer skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Greek and English
- Good analytical and creativity skills
- Team player
