Our firm Varnavas Playbell & Co. LLC is seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer to join our team in Limassol. 

We are speciality law firm, focusing on corporate and commercial matters of law and all related and ancillary fields. Indicatively, our practice focuses on, the traditionally defined areas of: corporate, commercial, banking & finance, licensing and the niche of financial services, namely advising on the regulatory, corporate and commercial aspects concerning alternative investment funds, investment firms and electronic money institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deal with company law and corporate matters;
  • Drafting and review of legal documents, including contracts, legal opinions, resolutions, POAs etc.;
  • Legal Research;
  • Drafting and amendments of Memorandum and Articles of Association of companies;
  • Assisting with the preparation of bank forms for clients;
  • Communicate with Central Bank of Cyprus and/or Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission and other European regulators;
  • Preparation and drafting of license applications for Electronic Money Institutions, Cyprus Investment Firms, Alternative Investment Funds;
  • Review and drafting of internal policies for Cyprus Investment Firms;
  • Assisting compliance officers for our clients with regards to the Cyprus regulatory framework;
  • Follow up with all amendments and/or updates to the Cyprus regulatory framework;
  • Perform other related office tasks.

Previous experience with Central Bank and Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission shall be considered as an advantage.
