Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual who seeks a position in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will primarily be involved with the Firm’s Data Protection Practice, as well as other areas of Law, as necessary.
Main responsibilities include:
- Conduct legal assessments to evaluate clients’ compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Provide Data Processing Officer (DPO) related services to existing clients
- Advise and assist clients to enhance their business structures, policies and procedures to safeguard personal data
- Assist in other areas such as Commercial, Corporate and Banking Law, as assigned
- Draft, review and monitor legal documents and agreements
- Compose legal correspondence and documentation
- Liaise and communicate with clients and other authorities, as required
- Undertake any other related tasks
Profile of the ideal candidate
- LLB and LLM, one of which from a UK University. Legal Practice Course will be considered an advantage
- Newly Qualified Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- Exposure withGDPR will be consideredan advantage
- Self-motivated with personal drive and commitment
- High sense of responsibility and confidentiality
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and analytical skills coupled with attention to detail
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English, both spoken and written
