Senior Corporate Lawyer

E. Papandreou & Co LLC is a boutique law firm established in 2009, known for delivering high-quality, client-focused legal services to both local and international clients. Our firm is distinguished in areas such as corporate and commercial law, insolvency law, banking and financial services, trust law, shipping law, and employment law.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Corporate Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of corporate matters, supervising junior lawyers, advising clients on complex legal issues, and supporting the firm’s business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on a wide array of corporate and commercial matters, including company formation, restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., shareholders' agreements, SPAs, loan agreements).
  • Manage corporate transactions from initiation to completion.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior lawyers and legal trainees.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and GDPR.
  • Perform due diligence and risk assessment related to corporate transactions.
  • Represent clients before public authorities and regulatory bodies where necessary.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and training sessions.
  • Assist in the strategic development of the firm’s corporate law practice.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree in Corporate or Commercial Law is an advantage.
  • Admission to the Cyprus Bar Association (or equivalent if applicable).
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Proven experience handling complex corporate transactions and advising high-profile clients.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and business acumen.
