A. Pelengaris & Partners LLC is seeking to recruit a Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience to join our litigation and dispute resolution team.

The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of civil, commercial, corporate, and interim relief matters, working closely with senior lawyers and partners on complex contentious cases.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Handle civil and commercial litigation matters before the Cyprus courts.
  • Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, legal opinions, submissions, and correspondence.
  • Advise clients on dispute resolution strategy, procedural steps, risks, and prospects of success.
  • Attend court hearings, interim applications, case management appearances, and client meetings.
  • Conduct legal research on Cyprus law, civil procedure, case law, and relevant legal principles.
  • Assist in the preparation of witness statements, evidence bundles, court documents, and trial strategy.
  • Liaise with clients, experts, opposing counsel, court registries, and other professionals.
  • Manage files efficiently and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of Cyprus civil procedure and court practice.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and work under pressure.
  • Strong professional judgment and attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
  • A proactive, responsible, and commercially aware approach.

The successful candidate will advise and assist clients on property transactions, title deed matters, due diligence, sale and purchase agreements, and related real estate legal work.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Advise clients on real estate transactions and Cyprus property law matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate sale and purchase agreements, assignment agreements, reservation agreements, and related documentation.
  • Conduct legal due diligence on immovable property, including title searches, encumbrances, permits, planning matters, and ownership issues.
  • Assist with Land Registry procedures, transfers, deposits of contracts, releases of encumbrances, and title deed matters.
  • Liaise with clients, developers, banks, Land Registry officials, tax authorities, surveyors, and other professionals.
  • Advise on practical risks arising from property acquisitions, sales, financing, and development-related matters.
