Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity for ahigh calibreindividual who seeks a position of challenge in a fast pace, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility of the legal function of the Company and will report to the Chief Executive Officer. Main responsibilities include:
· Advise on legal matters of the company and provide ongoing legal support to Senior Management
· Oversee the preparation of company’s business contracts, other legal agreements and documents
· Review the company’s policies and procedures and amend as deemed necessary
· Provide assistance to the Board of Directors with regards to corporate legal matters
· Liaise with the company’s external advisors
· Attend Court and represent the Company together with external legal advisors
· Conduct legal research in relevant fields
· Keep abreast of relevant legislation and regulations
· Manage and develop the legal team
Profile of the ideal candidate
· University degree in Law or relevant field
· At least 10 years of experience in a senior management role preferably in an international law firm or a financial services institution
· Experience in the forex industry will be considered an advantage
· Very good knowledge of the regulatory regime for financial markets and investment firms
· Knowledge of Data protection and Intellectual Property law and regulations will be considered an advantage
· Dynamic, hands-on and results driven
· Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and under pressure
· High levels of commitment, energy and drive
· Very good communication and interpersonal skills
· Computer literate
· Good knowledge of English
