Junior Advocate
A.S. LAW is a boutique law office based in Limassol and is happy to announce TWO new career opportunities for the following positions:
One position for Junior Advocate and one position for Senior Advocate with good litigation experience.
We are a very client-based legal business which prides itself on finding the best solutions for its clients, both locally and internationally. We believe in handling cases passionately and with personalized care.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Appearing in court either on their own and/or with guidance.
· Handling cases from the beginning until the end,
· Drafting legal documents, pleadings etc.,
· Submission of documents to i-Justice
· Reviewing and drafting contracts,
· Research
· Liaising with external parties, intermediaries and clients.
· Preparing and providing legal advice and opinions.
· Any necessary duties as and when required.
Requirements:
· Having at least 1 year of litigation experience will be considered a plus for the Junior Advocate and at least 2-3 years’ litigation experience for the Senior Advocate position.
· Post-graduate degree or Barrister-at-law shall be considered as an advantage. The minimum education requirement is a university degree in law.
· Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English. Any additional language is considered a plus.
· Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
· Good at drafting various documents as well as conducting relevant research.
· Organizational skills, integrity, responsibility, and professionalism.
· Strong team orientation, ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and/or alone.
· Ensuring that deadlines are met and can handle working in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness and ability to take initiative and think outside the box in order to achieve the best result.
· Knowledge of banking and/or property and/or contract and/or family and/or criminal and/or immigration law will be considered an advantage.
