CRI GROUP, the island’s leading firm in corporate recovery and insolvency situated in Nicosia, Cyprus is looking to recruit a Legal Advisor for their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of insolvency cases with the guidance of CRI’s insolvency practitioners.
- Conduct legal research.
- Work closely with CRI’s external lawyers and other professionals.
- Review pleadings, court applications, affidavits.
- Liaise with banks and authorities including the District Court Registrars, Attorney General’s office, police, the Insolvency Service and the Registrar of Companies.
- Conduct investigations into complex corporate structures.
- Gather evidence to assist external lawyers in initiating legal actions by liaising with parties involved to ascertain the facts in each case.
- Assist with the preparation of documents for the convening and conducting of creditors and shareholders meetings including meeting minutes and agendas.
- Draft letters, agreements, reports to creditors and other corporate documents.
- Draft legal opinions and generally advise on legal issues.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications/Memberships:
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- Minimum of 3-5 years post qualification litigation experience in corporate law matters
- Fluent in Greek and English is essential, knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian will be considered an advantage
- Prior experience in insolvency cases will be considered an advantage
