An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Property development and Investment industry. Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client a leading Property Development company, we are seeking to recruit a Legal & Data Protection Officer to join their team in Larnaca.

The successful applicant will possess 2+ years of relevant Legal experience, preferably in a Property Development company, engaged with international clients, be fluent in both written and spoken English / Greek .

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

In the area of Data Protection and Management:

  • Supporting the company in the scope of the interpretation and the implementation of the Data Protection Regulations
  • Building and maintaining the register of sensitive data
  • Compiling and maintaining the overall data protection files
  • Preparing and reviewing data protection impact assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with the data protection rules, and dissemination of good practices and guidelines

 

In the area of Legal Administration:

  • Providing legal administrative support by, i.e. preparing rules, administrative notes and other legal documents
  • Drafting service level agreements or other legal documents
  • Regulations, and decisions deriving from the Founding Regulation
  • Supporting in the management of staff complaints and appeal processes, administrative enquiries and disciplinary proceedings
  • Providing support to other legal administrative tasks, as requested

 

In the area of Document Administration:

  • Responsible for files management from opening to completion (maintain and update all relevant records of both corporate and natural individuals in the corporate software system, including agreements, licenses, and other documentation)
  • Responsible for the effective implementation of the Corporate Quality Management System (i.e.: collection of forms, collection of meeting minutes, collection of evaluation forms, feedback forms etc)
  • Liaise with local authorities and/or other institutions for the submission and/or collection of various documentation
  • Any related tasks that may arise from time to time

 

Requirements:

  • Law Degree preferably from a UK University
  • Master’s Degree shall be considered an advantage
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
  • 2+ years of experience in Corporate Law, Financing Transactions and/or Data Protection and Management
  • Fluency in Greek and English (Written & Spoken) is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and excellent computer literacy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in managing people and teams will be considered an advantage
  • Dynamic individual able to take initiatives and demonstrate commitment

 

 

Remuneration:

An attractive package of remuneration will be offered to the successful candidate based on industry knowledge, experience and qualifications which includes provident fund, 21 annual days off, 3 days sick leave paid, yearly salary increases based on performance.
