The Law firm Akis Papakyriacou LLC, based in Nicosia, is seeking to hire a Corporate Lawyer.
Duties:
· Assisting in the preparation of minutes, agreements, legal opinions and other legal documents for a wide variety of companies
· Providing legal advice and guidance on corporate and compliance related matters
· Incorporation, re-domiciliation and reorganization of companies i.e. domestic and cross
· Corporate restructurings
· Advising on regulatory matters, including blockchain and fintech
· Liaising with clients, other professional advisers and public/regulatory authorities as necessary
· Preparing, reviewing and executing various legal documents, including directors and shareholders minutes/ resolutions, Powers of Attorneys, agreements (such as loan agreements, pledge agreements and assignment agreements, etc.)
· Assisting with transactional compliance matters
· Assisting with client due diligence for corporate and trust structures
· Implementing KYC procedures relating to clients
Skills
· Strong analytical skills coupled with high attention to detail
· Fluent command of English and Greek, verbal and written
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and excellent computer literacy
· Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a busy and demanding work environment
· Accurate, reliable, creative, well organised and proactive
· Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, responsibility and professionalism
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Proven background in dealing with international and institutional clients
Qualifications and other requirements
· LLB (Hons)
· Member of Cyprus Bar Association
· LPC holders will be considered to have an advantage
