On behalf of our client, an established, well respected and expanding law firm based in Nicosia,we are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer.

Confidently manage a portfolio of high-profile cases this role requires a dynamic, practical and well organised individual who can retain composure in a busy & fast paced environment. Diligent & capable the role holder must proactively deal with competing requests, use initiative to prioritise and remain on top of demands, and thrive on delivering a high-quality legal service.

 

Summary

Advising clients on legal matters and proceedings of general scope, the Litigation Lawyer will present cases at court proceedings & hearings, deal with requests & instruction and manage clients attentively & proactively.

Key Accountabilities of the Role

  • Independently, and in parallel, manage civil & commercial court cases / litigation of general scope.
  • Represent clients in court and other adversarial legal proceedings such as arbitrations.
  • Conduct all pre-investigatory assessment work & prepare documentation required to file cases.
  • Mediate dispute resolution cases offering specialist legal advice.
  • Manage corporate transactions - Structure, draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including cross border, from onset through to completion.
  • Coordinate with overseas based legal firms for any joint transactional cases.

 

Your Experience & Knowledge

  • University Law Degree LPC, BAR or LLM.
  • Substantial hands-on experience (ideally 5+ years) independently handling court cases & litigation proceedings of general scope, including civil, commercial & banking.
  • Proven experience in drafting/reviewing/negotiating commercial agreements and  transactions.
  • Experience of using Zygos platform will be also considered an additional advantage.
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • Excellent oral and written command of Greek and English language.
  • Driving license and vehicle.
