Our firm Athina Apostolou LLC based in Limassol, is looking to recruit a lawyer who will be working with us and will gain great exposure within the fields of Finance Law, Banking Law, Regulatory Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare appropriate legal documents required
- Assisting with the preparation of bank forms;
- Evaluate business partnerships
- Represent company when needed in legal meetings
- Drafting & review of contracts in particular which have to do with banks, payment service providers, electronic money institutions and other financial institutions
- Preparation of various corporate documents (minutes, resolutions, agreements, power of attorneys, letters etc)
- Performing Due Diligence on the clients and applying the compliance procedures of the Firm in cooperation with the AMLCO of the company;
- Filling with the registrar of companies of Cyprus as well as dealing with the Registrar of companies of countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Seychelles.
- Regulatory review for companies licensed in Europe and outside Europe
- Good awareness of the AML compliance requirements and able to apply relevant judgment
- Knowledge of offshore jurisdictions, familiar with incorporation of foreign legal entities, compliance procedures and statutory requirements;
- Communicating with other departments of the Company and/or affiliates and/or associates of the Company in relation to corporate affairs of the Company
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law;
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association;
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer which has been exposed in particular to Financial law for Payment Service Providers, Electronic Money Institutions, Forex companies will be a plus;
- Speak and write fluently and professionallyboth Greek and English.
