The Law firm Akis Papakyriacou LLC, based in Nicosia, is seeking to hire a Corporate Lawyer.
Duties:
- Assisting in the preparation of minutes, agreements, legal opinions and other legal documents for a wide variety of companies
- Providing legal advice and guidance on corporate and compliance related matters
- Incorporation, re-domiciliation and reorganization of companies i.e. domestic and cross
- Corporate restructurings
- Advising on regulatory matters, including blockchain and fintech
- Liaising with clients, other professional advisers and public/regulatory authorities as necessary
- Preparing, reviewing and executing various legal documents, including directors and shareholders minutes/ resolutions, Powers of Attorneys, agreements (such as loan agreements, pledge agreements and assignment agreements, etc.)
- Assisting with transactional compliance matters
- Assisting with client due diligence for corporate and trust structures
- Implementing KYC procedures relating to clients
Skills
- Strong analytical skills coupled with high attention to detail
- Fluent command of English and Greek, verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and excellent computer literacy
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a busy and demanding work environment
- Accurate, reliable, creative, well organised and proactive
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, responsibility and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven background in dealing with international and institutional clients
Qualificationsand other requirements
- LLB (Hons)
- Member of Cyprus Bar Association
- LPC holders will be considered to have an advantage
