Andreas Demetriades & Co LLC is looking for knowledge-motivated and skills-motivated Law School graduates to join its Law Firm as Trainee Lawyers at its offices in Paphos.
Our lawyers’ team at Andreas Demetriades & Co LLC is eager to provide an excellent opportunity for Law graduates to make the most of their traineeship year and become well-trained lawyers with a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience.
THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Each legal trainee is assigned to a partner in our law firm who monitors the daily progress of the trainee, gives regular feedback, provides guidance and challenges the way of viewing legal problems. Each legal trainee will:
Ø Be given the opportunity to explore a number of areas of law
Ø Undertake to draft contracts
Ø Undertake to do legal research and resolve problems based on the legal research
Ø Appear in Court and handle cases
Ø Undertake to draft pleadings in many areas of law
Ø Undertake to prepare court documents for court hearings
Ø Appear before government authorities to carry out various tasks, e.g. obtain tax releases for conveyancing cases
Ø Learn how to use i-justice
Ø Attend client meetings
THE QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should satisfy the following:
Ø Be holders of a Law Degree
Ø Be proficient in Greek and English
Ø Be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Ø Have the ability to work in a team
Ø Be highly organized individual who is willing to meet tight deadlines
Ø Be eligible for the Subsidy project for Trainee Advocates 2017 - 2023, for young law graduates up to 29 years old who are not in Education, Employment or Training - NEETs, for the gaining of the required professional internship based on the Lawyers Law (Cap.2) as it has been amended until today.
