THE POSITION

Andreas Coucounis & Co LLC (“Coucounis”) is currently looking for qualified lawyers to join its legal team in Nicosia.

Employment at Coucounis provides the opportunity to individuals to test their knowledge and skills, increase and improve such knowledge and skills, as well as exposure to a variety of areas of law.

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Each lawyer co-operates with a partner in our law firm who is responsible for the lawyer’s progress and to whom the lawyer repots. Each lawyer will:

  • Work on a full-time basis;
  • Draft pleadings in many areas of law;
  • Appear in a variety of Courts in Cyprus and handle cases before judges;
  • Interview and contact clients;
  • Draft legal opinions;
  • Draft legal texts, agreements, corporate documents;
  • Use i-justice as well as the Companies Registrar electronic system;
  • Undertake legal research;
  • Prepare cases for hearings;
  • Conduct hearings before courts.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should satisfy the following:

  • Be qualified lawyers and members of the Cyprus Bar Association;
  • 2-5 years’ work experience will be favorably considered;
  • Be holders of a Law Degree;
  • Be proficient in Greek and English;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office tools;
  • Have the ability to work in a team.
