Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a high-calibre, career driven individual to join our firm’s Corporate and Commercial Law Department.
Job Description
- Handling the incorporation of companies
- Handling of due diligence procedures/ KYC
- Dealing with the execution of changes in the structure of companies (shareholding, directorship, share capital, name) and submission of annual returns
- Maintaining and keeping up to date as required the corporate register and statutory records of companies
- Managing the client's portfolio concerning issues of resolutions, annual general meetings, powers of attorney, etc.
- Managing liquidation and strike-off proceedings
- Handling complex corporate transactions, reorganisations and restructurings
- Handling the re-domiciliation of companies to and from the Republic of Cyprus
- Administration of Trusts
- Drafting and reviewing corporate and commercial agreements
- Drafting of legal opinions
- Opening of bank accounts for companies and individuals with Cyprus banks
- Coordinate with registered agents overseas for the registration and de-registration of foreign companies.
- Liaising with clients, auditors, external regulators and professional advisers
Qualifications required
- Law degree (minimum upper second class)
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- Minimum 2 years experience in a corporate law environment
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Highly organized and motivated individual, able to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and work independently as well as within a team in a challenging work environment
Remuneration
A competitive remuneration package including a 13th salary will be offered to the chosen candidate.
